Setup was straightforward using the Enbrighten app, and it�s important to note that pairing requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (I have dual-band so this wasn't an issue). Once connected, the app interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, even if you�re not tech-savvy.The level of customization is great as you can choose from a wide range of colors, multicolor combinations, and several shades of white, along with preset and custom modes. A scheduling option is built in which is convenient. I don't use Alexa or Google home, but the lights are able to be controled through either app.The strand itself offers generous coverage. The total length is over 72 feet, including a long lead wire from the outlet and a short tail at the end, making it easier to position the lights exactly where you want them. The 6-inch globes are HUGE and evenly spaced to provide a soft, ambient glow rather than a spotlight effect. Mounting clips are included, which helped keep installation tidy and secure.These lights are rated for outdoor use and feel solid enough for year-round exposure. Everything is ETL safety certified, which adds peace of mind, especially when using them outdoors long-term. These sphere outdoor string lights are great. Like, �I didn�t realize I cared this much about lighting until now� great. They look awesome, work exactly as they should, and most importantly� they don�t make me fight them.The app is honestly better than expected. It does what it needs to do, and � miracle of miracles � it doesn�t ask for 47 weird permissions like it�s trying to access my camera roll, contacts, and financial history just to change the color to blue. The connection between the app and the lights is also super fast. Tap a setting and the lights react almost instantly, which feels illegal considering how most smart devices operate.The included clips for holding the wires are� interesting. Not bad, just different than I expected. Could I have done a better job hanging them? Absolutely. Did I? No. But that�s not the lights� fault � that�s me, living my best �close enough� life.The preset colors and patterns are already really good, but the customization is basically endless. If you want subtle warm glow? Done. If you want your backyard to look like a space portal opened near your patio furniture? Also done. There are limitless options.The orbs themselves are frosted plastic � not glass � but they feel sturdy and well made. I�m not worried about them breaking from a normal life outside. The only thing I�m mildly concerned about is sun fading over time since they�ll be out there constantly. But honestly, if they hold up for multiple seasons, I�ll call that a win and pretend I wasn�t worried.Overall: easy setup, great app response, strong build, awesome lighting effects. These are a solid upgrade if you want your outdoor space to look fun and intentional� instead of like you forgot to take down last year�s Christmas lights.

The Embrighten Outdoor Globe Lights are a surprisingly versatile string of lights great for decorating your yard, deck, balcony or even Christmas Tree. The Globes themselves are fairly lightweight frosted plastic material which do cast quite a bit of light. With this set you get 12 globes on 57 feet of wire, they�re spaced about 5 ft apart which is perfect. I thought at first it may not be enough to light an area but honestly any more would be overkill.Control: There are a lot of control options here. The main option is the Embrighten App, if you�re familiar with the Phillips Hue or Govee ecosystems, the Embrighten App operates similar. You get a full slate of scheduling, on/off, animations, effects, etc. along with speed and dimming all controlled through the app. You�ll need to connect the lights to 2.4ghz wifi for any of this to function but setup was fairly painless. You *can* control the lights without the app by using the pushbutton on the control box but you�re very limited to what effects you have access to so I wouldn�t recommend it. Once set with your preferred color palette and effects, you can control the lights with a wall switch connected to an outlet. The light string does remember its state so if you unplug it or switch it off, the lights will go back to their prior state when re-powered. The documentation says it can be controlled with Google Home or Alexa however to integrate with Apple Home you�ll need a Homebridge running somewhere.Color: Colors are bright and Vibrant, not harsh at all which is helped by the frosted globes that diffuse the light. When changing from color to color they softly dim then blend the new color, it�s not flashy at all like cheap christmas lights. The speed at which they change colors can be sped up pretty fast but it is still a smooth transition which looks really good in my opinion. They do dim but do not go very low. It was hard for me to tell the difference between full bright and full dim in the daytime. That being said they are fully viewable in broad daylight.Mounting: The wire connecting these seems pretty durable and could probably support the somewhat heavy weight of the full string of lights however the set comes with a set of mounting clips designed for the purpose. They can be hung on a screw/nail or if you have christmas light hooks those will work too. The clips lock the wire into placeDurability - All wire conections are waterproof and everything seems to be sealed pretty well. I couldn�t see any markings for UV protection on the wire insulation so be careful in a full sun exposed installation. Other than that these should last a long time.Value - They are expensive, especially for 12 LED lights. That being said they�re priced in line with the aforementioned Hue and Govee offerings which are slightly more expensive. For a permanent installation light string that will save a lot of time over temporary installation they are probably worth the cost.

These are beautiful sphere lights to enhance any outdoor space. They are just the right size and weight to hang on a deck or patio. With twelve spheres, you should be able to create a beautiful scene and also get enough light. Unfortunately, if you have a larger area, these lights cannot be chained together (the only drawback really).The power adopter does how a controller button which enables you to rotate through a couple of light scenes and colors. But, you will get much better controls with the Enbrighten up, giving you tens of preset scenes, as well as allowing you to program your.Controls include hundreds of colors,.brightness levels, flashing, and timing. Therefore, the options are pretty much limitless.While I don't like having to install different apps for different manufacturer light chains, I do understand why this is sometimes needed given the versatility. Yet, I wish had least basic controls would be provided by common voice assistants on the market.The box I received did not include the 12 mounting clips it was supposed to. I have reached out to Embrighten (Jasco) and hope to receive an answer after the holidays. But, I can also work around not having the clips when hanging them.No user manual was provided, but all documentation is available through the app and web.Given the complexity of these spheres, there are no user serviceable parts or replacement LEDs available in case a sphere should no longer function.Enbrighten does have a variety of light options available, so you can match these with other lights as well and control through a single app.These are definitely the most beautiful sphere lightchains and easiest to control, and well worth considering.
