Enbrighten 48in. Direct Wire LED Under Cabinet Light Fixture, White

Great light Very bright

The balasts in our 20-year-old florescent undercabinet lights burned out so we replaced them with these. The good part is they give nice, warm white light and are a bit brighter than the florescents. As LEDs, we expect them to last for as long as we will own the house. The bad part is they are tricky to install under cabinets. We had no problem hooking up the old wire to the new fixtures. The knockouts were in the right place and all of the hardware was supplied. The tricky part is screwing the fixture together after mounting the base to the underside of the cabinet. My husband had to lie down on the counter to get the tiny screws in place. But, now that they are installed, we are very happy with them.

We have a 7 foot length of kitchen wall cabinets that originally had over counter fluorescent lights. The fluorescent replacement bulbs were short lived and becoming increasingly more & more expensive. I selected this Enbrighten 48 inch LED light fixture because of the listed specifications and some of the reviews. I'm not an electrician, just a home handyman that likes to tinker and work on projects around the house. I did have to use a Greenlee knock-out plug tool to make a hole in the housing to hard wire power to the fixture. The end knockout plug allowed me to tie the new fixture to the old next door neighboring 3 foot fluorescent fixture. I did need my wife's help holding one end of the fixture up when attaching it to the underside of the cabinet. It took around 2 hours for the entire job. The new LED fixture id very bright and about the same color level of our existing fluorescent light fixtures. Time will tell in regards to longevity of the LEDs.

It was so easy to install I didn't even open the instructions. Snap off the lens and then remove the two screws (one at each end) and remove the metal housing to expose the wiring. Mounted it under the cabinet with three wood screws and connected the wires. Reassembled in reverse order and flipped the switch. Very bright and very satisfied! So much so, I've already ordered another one for my other cabinet!
